WordCamp Harare 2017 is here!.. Saturday 4 November at Hellenic Academy.
A WordCamp is a local WordPress Conference organized through efforts by the local WordPress Meetup group (yes there are monthly meetups you can find and RSVP schedules at MeetUp.com) to host WordPress practitioners ranging from the occasional blogger to digital experts.
The WordCamp’s primary feature is the Speaker Guest List. You get the first-hand experience of presentations from an array of speakers sharing on topics they are passionate about and, yes, gems will be dropped.

A quick glance at the line-up tells you that there is something for everyone, if not a single topic interests you, you just might be doing your internet I wont say wrong but come have a different perspective.

The presentations will be available on WordPress.TV This means if you miss anything you can catch it later online.
Now if you are thinking to yourself why should I attend if I can always watch the presentations, well first of all….. You remember the most from a live presentation, our brains are hot wired for face to face interactions and also there is a Question and Answer at the end of every presentation…….
The networking opportunities are priceless. This is in the unwritten draw-card of the WordCamp conference (but you didn’t read that here :-)). You never know who you will run into. There's a chance to meet people just like you who have something to offer, just like you… from the influencers and people who build websites to anyone who has ever started any sort of online campaign.
Pack your business cards, take pics and tweet about it #wchre…. if you're old school like me, bring a good old fashioned notebook and pen……
