WordCamp Harare 2017 is here!.. Saturday 4 November at Hellenic Academy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n

A WordCamp is a local WordPress Conference organized through efforts by the local WordPress Meetup group (yes there are monthly meetups you can find and RSVP schedules at MeetUp.com<\/a>) to host WordPress practitioners ranging from the occasional blogger to digital experts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The WordCamp\u2019s primary feature is the Speaker Guest List. You get the first-hand experience of presentations from an array of speakers sharing on topics they are passionate about and, yes, gems will be dropped.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Now if you are thinking to yourself why should I attend if I can always watch the presentations, well first of all\u2026.. You remember the most from a live presentation, our brains are hot wired for face to face interactions and also there is a Question and Answer at the end of every presentation\u2026\u2026.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The networking opportunities are priceless. This is in the unwritten draw-card of the WordCamp conference (but you didn\u2019t read that here :-)). You never know who you will run into. There's a chance to meet people just like you<\/em> who have something to offer, just like you\u2026<\/em> from the influencers and people who build websites to anyone who has ever started any sort of online campaign.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Pack your business cards, take pics and tweet about it #wchre<\/strong>\u2026. if you're old school like me, bring a good old fashioned notebook and pen\u2026\u2026<\/p>\n\n\n\n
