If you attended WordCamp Harare, we would love to hear what you thought about the whole event! Please take just a minute out of your day to fill in the follow-up survey here: https://central.wordcamp.org/wordcamp-attendee-survey/… #wchre
Here are answers to some of the questions you’ve been asking!
If you need directions, we have posted a map on the Location page. Hellenic Academy is at 42 Basset Crescent, Alexandra Park.
See the schedule here
High speed wifi is available for free at the conference area.
The After-Party will be held at The Venue in Avondale. The Venue is located off King George Road (behind DSTV), at 23 Kenny Rd. Free drinks will be served until the bar tab runs out, then it will be a cash bar.
If you want to get something to eat, there are restaurants and shops (like Nando’s, Mugg ‘n Bean, Cafe Nush) within walking distance.
Smoking is not allowed inside the venue but it’s permitted on the veranda.
Don’t forget to bring your badge for entry.
You can post using #wchre and follow us on Twitter @wordcampharare!
Hope you got your ticket? 🙂
We only have a few tickets left to sell and some of you have asked about paying at the door. So we will be accepting registrations at the venue. The price on the day is $8.00 cash (NO ECOCASH) Please note – those who pay at the door are not guaranteed a tshirt. Tshirts are reserved for those who booked in advance first.
See you there!
WordCamp Central and our sponsors sent us these great items as swag! Gotta love our sponsors 🙂 Make sure you arrive at registration early on event day to get your share of the swag.
We’re giving away 1 ticket to one lucky lady! One of our micro-sponsors, Alice Orrù (@Alice_Ridice), will not be able to attend. (get well soon, Alice!) So she asked us to donate her ticket to a female attendee. (“Let’s take girls to WordCamps!”)
We have a winner! Congratulations to Tariro Mageva! 🙂

When asked what their favorite part of WordCamp was last year, most people said, “The after party!” Connect with old friends and new and rehash your WordCamp experience (or just shake your groove thang :-)) at a hip local venue. We are excited to announce that the after party for WordCamp Harare 2017 will be at The Venue in Avondale. We hope you’ll join us, along with your fellow WordPress comrades, for this evening to remember. Continue reading “After Party”
We understand many of you do not have MasterCard or Visa and are unable to use PayPal. We feel your pain 🙁
Good news! We have come up with an alternative for those unable to purchase their tickets via PayPal. You can contact us (or Whatsapp Thabo at 0772 771949) and arrange to meet Thabo in town. You can pay $6.50 in cash (USD or bond notes) and he will purchase your ticket using his MasterCard. PLEASE NOTE WE CANNOT ACCEPT ECOCASH.
So what are you waiting for? We have a limited supply of t shirts so don’t wait till it’s too late! Don’t delay… get your ticket today!
The moment a lot of you have been asking about is here – tickets are now on sale for WordCamp Harare 2017!
We have two ticket options this year – the General Admission ticket, and a new Micro-sponsor ticket. The General Admission ticket is $6 and includes access to the full day of sessions, a t-shirt, cool swag, lunch and admission to the after party. Micro-sponsor tickets are $25 and include the same benefits as the General Admission ticket, as well as an extra thank-you mention on the Sponsor page for helping support your local WordPress community and a mention on Twitter. The Micro-sponsor ticket is a great way to show your support for the WordPress community but at a lower price than a traditional sponsorship.
We have a fantastic selection of speakers and the schedule has been published.
To get your tickets, just head over to the Tickets page. We can’t wait to see you at WordCamp Harare!
